A Little About Me

First of all, I am an expert at nothing. I'm pretty sure of that. Not altogether 100% sure, but pretty sure. Or perhaps I'm just overly modest.

My title says I'm a weirdo, because I am. My interests and my tastes clearly scream "Weirdo!"

I love music. What kind? Um... the kind with sounds... um, from planet Earth. Yeah, there is no kind of music I don't listen to. I even have a polka song on my iPod. What I have mostly is rock. Secondly, probably electronica. And after that, anything and everything. From Opeth to Enya, from Creedence Clearwater Revival to B.B. King, from Stevie Wonder to Bill Monroe, from Delerium to Bollywood music, from traditional Chinese music to spacepop, from Bing Crosby to Usher, from Daft Punk to Rob Zombie, from Bolivian music to Japanese pop (or j-pop), from Russian rock to Algerian metal, from French rap to traditional Scottish and Irish music. It's all there, and if it's not, it's on the way. I really like the "Rough Guide to [insert type of music or country] Music" Series, and the Putumayo Label, although it seems to me they get a lot of flack from people nowadays who think listening to the Putumayo label means you're a pretentious, hanging-out-in-cafes, douche-bag wanker. If you've moved on from that, good for you. Everyone's a n00b at some point.

So, there'll be album reviews. Of every kind. If I don't like an album, I'll tell you why, I won't just make fun of it and say "It sucks!" Although everyone knows my word is no good. So I might poke fun, maybe a little. But there's so much to write about that are good that I don't see the point of writing about music that I don't like.

Lots of paranormal/occult tags, as I am interested in that kind of stuff.

I am trying my best to be a vegetarian. It isn't working out so great, but I am working on it. I guess I'm a semi-vegetarian, as I am only eating meat every other day. Which is some progress.

And more about me, what do I do for a living? I'm a clerk at a convenience store. What I would like to do is use my degree in computer graphics and animation. But there's the obstacle of not having my own computer. But that's not the biggest obstacle. And after I get my computer I have to somehow get the software I need, which isn't cheap, not by a long shot. I do wish I knew more about computer hardware, though, as I have enough hardware to build at least two computers, if I knew how to do that. But I don't.

And, I'm supposed to be teaching myself programming. That's slow going. How does that work exactly, how do you teach yourself something you don't know how to do? Isn't that like the lamest teacher ever, someone who doesn't know what they're teaching? I guess the biggest setback is trying to learn to program without having my own computer. But that's just temporary.

I live in Lansing, Michigan. I live (at the moment) with my two brothers and my nephew. He's 10, and looks just like me. I guess that's because my brother (his dad) and I look alot alike. His dad lives in Florida. That's a long story. Not really, but longer than I want to take to tell it and not all that interesting. I don't get along with that brother. I do get along (mostly) with my other two, which is why we live together.

Okay, well enough about me. I am trying to be interesting, we'll see how this goes.

One more thing...

I wanted to start this today as it is the 9th day of the 9th month, in the 2009th year. Oh, and it's 9:39 to boot! I hear this won't happen again for another 3,000 years, or something like that.
